There is a debate on whether music has a place in the Pilates studio. Some feel it distracts from the very principles the practice it built on. However, I sit in the yes camp, I feel that as long as the music is appropriate and chosen with Pilates in mind it can complement a class and enhance the immersive experience. Back when I was teaching in the studio (pre COVID) I built a weekly playlist to set a tone of my class. I’m a huge lover of music and really enjoy the creative selection process. Alike planning my classes, I found this process offers me a little escape from the everyday.

The selected tunes are easy to listen too, have minimal lyrics, or lyrics that are unknown and have an easy pace, as not to distract.

I often had compliments on the music, so wanted to use this page to share what I’m currently listening to and am excited to bring to a class soon. I hope you enjoy.
